TPACK model

TPACK stands for Technological Pedagogical Content Knowledge. It's a framework that helps teachers to integrate technology into their teaching in a meaningful way. There are three type of knowledge namely content knowledgeCK), pedagogical knowledge(PK) and technlogical knowledge(TK). it emphasizes that effective teaching with technology requires an understanding of the relationships between these three types of knowledge.

Previous knowledge

  • students already learned about alphabet sound, digraph and consonant and how to sound it out.

 Lesson objectives

By the end of the lesson, students should be able to ;

  1. Identify which is the consonant and vowel digraph after the teacher demonstration.

  2. Write at least 5 examples for the sound without the help of the teacher.

  3. Appreciate the importance of sound in reading and writing.

Lesson introduction-5 minutes

Teacher will greet the students and recapitulate the previous lesson on phonic sound by watching a video. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pyKdUpJQBTY Then the teacher will provide content knowledge by writing digraphs on board and together sound it out. For instance, oy, oi, ea, sh, ch, and th. 


Lesson development-35 minutes

Activity(25 minutes):collaborative learning(pedagogical knowledge)

Instruction 

  • The teacher will divide students into a 5 group of 4 members each.

  • Provide them with a worksheet where they can write.

  • Then show digraph on PowerPoint and first ask them to differentiate it into consonant and vowel, and write it in worksheet,

  • After that group has to exchange their worksheet with another group and need to correct or comment on it.

  •  Then students in the group can take turns and sound it out the digraph.

Follow up-5 minutes

Teacher will ask each student to write three words for each digraph in their notebook. And write some points on why sound is important in reading and writing?.

Discussion-5 minutes

Teacher will ask random or any volunteer to share their points to the whole class. During these, other students and teachers can correct mistakes if any.

Lesson closure-5 minutes

Firstly the teacher will ask for any doubt or question regarding the lesson, after that teacher will summarize the lesson.
